Case · US digital health · mobile

One hand. One next visit.

Patient-facing iOS and Android UX for booking, records, and care-plan reminders. Designed for the waiting room and the walk to the car, not a shrunk patient portal. No signed-off metrics on this case.

Task flow

Book. Find a record. See the reminder. Then put the phone away.

Patient interviews. Support-ticket taxonomy. A portal people avoided. Strict compliance reviews, offline edges, and provider-specific scheduling rules sat underneath every tap.

Wireframe to prototype

Structure first. Calm last. Production was too slow a way to learn the flow was wrong.

Step-by-step paths tested with older patient cohorts. Accessible type. No maze of portal menus.

Final UI

The app patients open between tasks.

Illustrative · narrative case · no signed-off metrics

Interaction detail

Thumb targets. One primary action. Type that holds outdoors.

Reminders are proactive, not a second inbox. Records are findable without calling support. Booking does not reopen the portal maze.
